What does a change to an existing image cost?

Every change to an existing Outshinery Studio image falls into one of three tiers. Which tier depends on what changed, not how long it takes us.

Free, always. A new vintage, a new ABV, or a change to the liquid color. No subscription required, and it never expires: if we built the image, the update is free for as long as the image exists. Request it here: Update a Product Shot.

0.5 Shine Credit. A small edit to the same label design (an appellation, a production number, a proof or ABV stamp variant), a closure or capsule change, or a change to the glass color. Same form: Update a Product Shot.

A new Product Shot, 1 Shine Credit. A different label design, a different varietal, or a different bottle shape. Each of these means rebuilding the product in 3D, so it is a new image rather than an update. Request it here: New Product Shot, and mention the existing SKU to match so the two sit side by side.

Each additional view of the same product (back, side, rotated) is 1 Shine Credit. Each view is its own line in the request.

Two lines that catch people out:

  • Liquid color is free. Glass color is 0.5. They are different things; name which one you mean.
  • Same design with a small edit is 0.5. A different design is a new shot. Nine SKUs that share a bottle and closure but carry nine different labels are nine Product Shots.

Rush applies to changes at 50% on top, so a 0.5 update becomes 0.75. Rushing a free update is free.

We confirm any charge with you before applying it. If you are not sure which tier your change falls into, ask in the chat and we will tell you before you submit.
